<p>We at <a title="Going Interactive Portfolio Website" href="http://www.goinginteractive.com" target="_blank">Going Interactive</a> are pleased to announce that we received another great award for best Web &amp; Interactive Marketing &#8211; Web campaign/microsite and our work on the <a title="MyPrinties" href="http://www.myprinties.com" target="_blank">Printies Website and Design Studio</a>!</p>
<p>The <a title="Amy Awards Website" href="http://www.amyawardsatl.com/index.html" target="_blank">AMYs</a> are the annual marketing award of the<a title="AMA Website" href="http://www.ama-atlanta.com/cgi-bin/MySQLdb3?FILE=/index1.html" target="_blank"> American Marketing Association Atlanta</a> chapter. The AMYs celebrate more than just great creative — they reward companies that craft innovative strategies, unforgettable creative and produce outstanding results. </p>
<p>It was a pleasure to celebrate all the work everyone created and to see all the marketing campaigns, ideas and talent under one roof.</p>

<p>We&#8217;d especially like to thank all of the <a title="Going Interactive Portfolio Website" href="http://www.goinginteractive.com" target="_blank">Going Interactive</a> teammates who gave blood, sweat, and tears for what seemed like 24 hours for 7 days a week. We could not have done any of this without such a dedicated and hardworking group who worked together on finding creative solutions to very difficult obstacles.</p>
<p>Special thanks goes out to Lead Developer Randall for his all of his hard work and for breaking new ground on the <a title="Adobe AIR" href="http://www.adobe.com/products/air/" target="_blank">Adobe AIR</a> front for GI.</p>
<p>Jason for design, usability, and direction &#8211; and &#8211; Doug for overall project management, testing and strategy.</p>
<p>Brad for all his efforts in the <a title="Adobe Flex" href="http://www.adobe.com/products/flex/" target="_blank">Flex</a> world.</p>
<p>Zach for all his <a title="Adobe Flash" href="http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/" target="_blank">Flash</a> support and work on the front-end.</p>
<p>Phil, Matt &#038; Sherry for video work and tons of testing.</p>
<p>Thank you to our families and friends for all their support, as it kept us all going knowing they were cheering for us every step of the way.</p>

<p><strong>More About the Award Winning Project:</strong></p>
<p><a title="My Printies Design Studio" href="http://www.myprinties.com/" target="_blank">Printies Design Studio</a> is a new Hi-Tech Arts &amp; Crafts toy that allows your child to turn their designs into stuffed toys using your home computer, inket printer, and patent pending Printies fabric sheets. Each child becomes their very own toy artist by using the amazing online design tools and created their own custom plush stuffed friend.</p>
<p>Going Interactive used a unique combination of Adobe <a title="Adobe Flash" href="http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/" target="_blank">Flash</a>, <a title="Adobe Flex" href="http://www.adobe.com/products/flex/" target="_blank">Flex</a>, and <a title="Adobe AIR" href="http://www.adobe.com/products/air/" target="_blank">AIR</a> to develop one of the first RIA style kids toys of it&#8217;s kind. After only being live for only a months, there are thousands upon thousands of users and has been growing steadily throughout 2010. <a title="Shop Printies Design Studio" href="http://myprinties.com/#/shop" target="_blank">Click to find out where you can buy the Printies Design Studio</a>.</p>

<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica; min-height: 14.0px;">
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica; min-height: 14.0px;">Well, we at Going Interactive are pleased with the beginning of a new year. The cool thing is that in 2010, we turn eleven! So we&#8217;re moving into the second decade of our Going Interactive lives.</p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica; min-height: 14.0px;">
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;">Sure, a lot of things have changed, but overall, we&#8217;re still the same crew we were years ago &#8211; eager, interested, and excited about every project. We still want to produce great interactive work that stands the test of time. That being said, it was nice to see one of our videos still up on a clients home page the other day (<a title="Internap" href="http://www.internap.com" target="_blank">www.internap.com</a>). that we actually made in late 2006. That goes for some other clients and websites too! But we&#8217;ll stop dropping names now. ; )</p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica; min-height: 14.0px;">
<h3><span style="color: #800000;"><strong><span style="color: #333300;">Last year brought us a lot of big adventures&#8230;</span></strong></span></h3>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;">It&#8217;s true, we were up to our ears with the <a title="Printies Design Studio" href="http://www.myprinties.com" target="_blank">Printies Design Studio</a> software development. That year long project ended up being a bit more than everyone expected. It had it all really&#8230; technical challenges, visual challenges, strategy challenges, usability challenges, and especially timing challenges! We&#8217;re happy to say it ended with a success, and one of the great things about the RIA (Rich Internet Application) we created is that we were able to break some new ground in Adobe AIR, Flex and Flash. We even got some props on the official <a title="Adobe AIR Blog" href="http://blogs.adobe.com/air/2009/12/design_your_own_toys_with_prin.html" target="_blank">Adobe AIR Blog</a>! Adobe is letting us get a sneak peek at AIR 2 in Beta (that&#8217;s technical for COOL).</p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica; min-height: 14.0px;">
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;">Working with Ron Clark and Kim Bearden and the <a title="Ron Clark Academy " href="http://www.ronclarkacademy.com/" target="_blank">Ron Clark Academy</a> was also a big honor. They do amazing work with education and we were pleased to help Ron and Kim create <a title="Great American Teachers Club by Ron Clark" href="http://greatamericanteachersclub.com/" target="_blank">The Great American Teachers Club</a> website. The website was full of great features for teachers like forums, lesson plans, custom videos, live webcasts, and a great interactive game that teachers could use on their own classes.</p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica; min-height: 14.0px;">
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;">There were so many great things that we worked on in 2009 including motion graphics, videos, websites, back-end features, email campaigns, rich media ads, social media networking, SEO, strategy, design, presentations, Flash, etc.) that this list would get entirely too long to type out. So thanks to everyone we worked with!</p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;">(Including but not limited too&#8230; <a title="Real Talk ATL .org" href="http://realtalkatl.org/" target="_blank">Future Foundation</a>, Cisco, Edelman, <a href="http://www.brandresroucesgroup.com">BRG</a>, K-C, <a title="WeedPro Lawn Services" href="http://www.weedpro.com" target="_blank">WeedPro</a>, HSC, Digital Blue, <a title="My Boxercraft" href="http://www.myboxercraft.com" target="_blank">Boxercraft</a>, Panasonic, <a title="Rubik's TouchCube" href="http://www.rubikstouchcube.com" target="_blank">Rubik&#8217;s TouchCube</a>, <a title="Printies Design Studio" href="http://www.myprinties.com" target="_blank">Printies</a>, RCA, MSL, <a title="Best Buy Holiday Press Room" href="http://bestbuyholidaynewsroom.com/" target="_blank">Best Buy</a>, ResourceATL, <a title="AFC " href="http://www.atlantafinancialcenter.com" target="_blank">AFC</a>, OAC, <a title="Willow Glynn" href="http://www.willowglynn.com/" target="_blank">Willow Glynn</a>, GP, <a title="Oden - Advertising Agency" href="http://www.Oden.com" target="_blank">Oden</a>, TechnoSource, and anyone else who we crossed paths with.)</p>

<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;">Sure we&#8217;re another year older, but we&#8217;re also another year more experienced and wiser.</p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica; min-height: 14.0px;">

<p><span id="more-631"></span>Randall had an overwhelming feeling of joy after seeing the actual Printies Design Studio at his local Target store. The GI team spent over 10 months strategizing, designing, and developing the RIA (Rich Internet Application) known as &#8220;Printies Design Studio&#8221;. The app was created using Adobe Flash, Flex and AIR. The end result gives kids the ability to completely create their very own stuffed toy using the interactive design studio, the fabric paper, and your home printer.</p>
<div id="attachment_634" class="wp-caption alignleft" style="width: 360px"><img class="size-full wp-image-634" title="Kids Love Printies Design Studio" src="http://www.goinginteractive.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/rubywilderprinties.jpg" alt="Ruby &amp; Wilder Davenport play with Printies at home" width="350" height="263" /><p class="wp-caption-text">Ruby &amp; Wilder Davenport play with Printies at home</p></div>
<p>You can find it at your local <a title="Target" href="http://www.target.com" target="_blank">Target</a>, <a title="Toys R Us" href="http://www.toysrus.com/search/index.jsp?kwCatId=&amp;kw=printies&amp;origkw=printies&amp;f=Taxonomy/TRUS/2254197&amp;sr=1" target="_blank">Toys R Us</a>, <a title="Amazon" href="http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss?url=search-alias%3Daps&amp;field-keywords=printies&amp;x=0&amp;y=0" target="_blank">Amazon</a> and other great stores.
